Sales Team Leader Natasha Hattingh joined a panel of event experts at the Venues of Excellence conference
50 venues were in attendance in the grounds of Warwick Conferences, for a 2-day event hosted by Venues of Excellence in January 2019. The annual conference was branded ‘The Power of Excellence’ and sets out at exploring what it means to be excellent and leading in this industry.
Featuring motivational talks from former royal marines officer – turned journalist and marine biologist Monty Halls; Harley Street clinic founder Kate Cook; and board director at BVA BDRC James Bland, the content of the event explored all areas of venue management, right down to facilities and catering.
Natasha was invited to the panel segment chaired by C&IT editor Calum Di Lieto. Here are her takeaways from the panel:
Adding value to an event
What can we as venues do different to enhance clients experience, and as a result improve the end user experience at events? This can be a challenge for clients who are working on restricted budgets which impede on what they can delivery creatively. We work in an incredibly fast paced environment and stress can be too easy to suffer from if initiatives are not put in place.
